Ballroom
Fully-renovated, the Crowne Plaza Limassol Ballroom affords 430m² of purpose-built, state-of-the-art event and banqueting space. Pillar-free with a sea view, private entrance, bar and sea view smoking terrace, the ballroom is ideal for any kind of special event. The ballroom may be booked as a whole venue for a large Carnival party. In addition, it can be divided into two smaller sections to accommodate smaller Carnival celebrations. What’s more, the southern side of the new Ballroom has been constructed using fully-retractable glass panels, offering guests an impressive sea view, and an indoor-outdoor effect like no other ballroom in Limassol.
Limassol Carnival Tradition
Did you know that the Limassol Carnival is the oldest and most popular folk festivity in Limassol? Throughout the centuries, the tradition of the Apokries (the Carnival festive season) was celebrated across the island. In fact, festivities in Limassol became so widespread and popular, that they definitively became an integral part of the town’s identity and culture. Furthermore, according to Georgios Taliadoros Templar, a journalist and carnival chronicler: “No other town can quite compete with Limassol . Attempts to compete with Limassol have all resulted in resounding failures. The carnival has become our very own prerogative.
