What is IHG Giving for Good 2026? Giving for Good month is part of IHG’s flagship programme for communities and charitable giving. It’s about team members from IHG franchised and managed hotels doing their part, from volunteering to taking care of the environment.
September at IHG Hotels is a month encouraging colleagues to combine their efforts and contribute towards IHG’s Journey to Tomorrow commitments. By 2030, our goal is to improve the lives of 30 million people in communities around the world.
Firstly, we would like to thank every team member for playing an integral part in this year’s IHG GIVING FOR GOOD September campaign. As a result of your efforts, we topped our 2025 contribution record. Massive congratulations to all!
We organised a team charity bingo afternoon in honour of IHG Giving for Good 2026. The team came together and subsequently raised €160 for charity for these activities. Furthermore, the hotel matched the amount which was donated in full to ENA foundation x ‘Centre for Preventative Pediatrics’. Bingo always manages to bring the team together!

The team collected clothing, shoes and accessories throughout the month of September. The 9 bags of clothes we collected were also donated to the Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients and Friends (PASYKAF). The PASYKAF charity provide services and support to cancer patients and their families all over Cyprus.
Our annual Beach Clean was especially successful this year. It took place at our hotel beach and we collected a record of 63kg of rubbish. Specifically: 11kg of PMD, 45kg of General Waste and 7kg of Glass were salvaged from our coastline.
Moreover, the collective participation of team members from all our departments was impressive. All this was accomplished once again in partnership with the Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Initiative (CSTI) and TUI. This year’s mantra was ‘Tourism Cares: Unite for a Cleaner Destination’.
The Crowne Plaza Limassol team joined forces with the Cyprus Chefs Association to action a Blood Drive. The urgent need for blood instigated another collective Giving for Good initiative. With this in mind, we organized another successful blood drive at the hotel. Notably, 22 people registered for the blood drive, 13 litres of blood were subsequently collected for the needs of the Limassol General Hospital. Thanks to all that came together for those in need.

Last but not least, we undertook a charity raffle for the ‘Centre for Preventative Pediatrics’ charity. As a result, the team collected €258, an amount matched by the hotel management. The Center for Preventative Pediatrics offers three population-based screening programs — prenatal, neonatal, and hearing screening — free of charge to every newborn and pregnant woman in Cyprus. Thank you to Limassol’s favourite Meze Taverna for offering a tasty prize.

The lucky winners!
Above all we would like express our gratitude to the whole team for their collective efforts! Moreover, congratulations to all for #ihggivingforgood and making us all proud.
The ENA Foundation creates opportunities for a better Cyprus by investing in people, ideas, and partnerships with meaningful social impact.
Their campaign “490 km for Every Child Born in Cyprus”, has been launched with the aim of supporting the Center for Preventive Paediatrics “Americos Argyriou” and raising €60,000 to strengthen the Newborn Screening Programme. The campaign’s ambassador is long-distance athlete Theodoros Sofokleous, who will take part in the Authentic Pheidippides Race, covering 490 kilometres along the Athens–Sparta–Athens route in support of this important cause.
